Footage is not a film. Editing is the difference.
I edit travel video for creators, hotels, tour providers and restaurants. Long-form films, Shorts cut from the same footage, and short films of a place for your own site, cut from your footage.

Most travel footage never leaves the camera roll.
You filmed the sunrise from the deck, the walk to the meeting point, the kitchen at seven. It is on a phone or a card somewhere, because cutting it into something people will watch takes longer than filming it did.
What I edit
Long-form travel films.
Eight to twenty-five minutes, structured so people stay past the first minute. The format I cut for my own channel.
Shorts and Reels.
Vertical cuts from the same footage, made as their own thing rather than cropped as an afterthought.
A film of your place.
Sixty to ninety seconds of the stay, the tour or the evening, cut from your footage, for your home page, your booking page and your listings.
Captions, music and sound.
Licensed music, cleaned-up audio, captions that people watching with the sound off can read.
One minute of footage, edited.
Top: the clips as they came off the camera, in order. Bottom: the same minute after the edit.
- Fewer shots, held for longer.
- Cut to the music.
- The moment that matters, first.
The channel is the portfolio.
Aloft and Away has been on YouTube since 2022: cruises, islands, cities and the places in between. I film and edit every video. It is the same work I would do for you, in public, where you can judge it before we speak.
Watch Aloft and Away on YouTubeStart with one video.
A call.
An hour on what the footage is for, who will watch it, and how often you publish.
A first edit.
If it helps, we can start with one video, so you can see the work before planning more.
The edits.
How often, how long and which formats, agreed with you up front.
“Can’t an app do this now?”
It can trim silence and add captions, and for a quick clip that is fine. It cannot tell which of your forty clips is the one that makes someone want to go. That choice is the edit. Everything else is software.
Send me one video's worth of footage.
An hour, no pitch deck. Tell me what the footage is for and who is going to watch it, and I'll tell you how I would cut it.
